Brisbane prog-rock up-and-comers Kodiak Empire are hitting the road in support of their 2016 debut EP, Silent Bodies, and new single Hakbah, with a six-date east-coast tour this April.
The boys will kick off the sojourn with a support slot for the mighty COG at Eatons Hill Hotel, in their hometown, on Saturday 8 April — something of a dream come true for frontman Bryce Carleton and his cohorts.
"There aren’t words that come remotely close to describing how much playing alongside COG means to us," he said in a statement. "They were hugely influential for us as musicians and performers, so it’s an honour to share a stage with them!"
From there, they'll melt faces in Newcastle, Sydney, Wollongong and Melbourne before returning to Brissy to cap off the run with a headline outing at Foundry Records on Saturday 29 April.
To whet your appetite, you can hook into the expansive, electric Hakbah below — and enjoy eight minutes of pure, proggy excellence to help your day get to sufficiently weird and wondrous levels.
Kodiak Empire's Silent Bodies is available now.
