
Adelaide’s burgeoning music scene will once again be highlighted this November at the 2017 SAM Awards, with the state’s music body, Music SA, today opening entries for the highly anticipated event.
The third annual awards will celebrate the achievements of established and rising talent across all genres over the past 12 months through the People’s Choice Awards, while those working behind the scenes will receive accolades via the Peer-Voted Awards.
Entries for the two categories above are now open via the SAM Awards website until midnight on August 6, shortly thereafter voting for the People’s Choice Awards will open via theMusic.com.au.
The winners will be unveiled at the 2017 awards ceremony on November 9, with all the details confirmed next month.

The Peer-Voted winners will be determined by a panel of 22 local and national industry experts that includes Double J’s Dorothy Markek, I Oh You’s Johann Ponniah, Remote Control Records’ Harvey Saward, Jive’s Tam Boakes, Lunatic Entertainment’s Alice Fraser, The Music’s own Daniel Cribb and more.
