The third annual Vintage & Custom Drum Expo is set to go ahead this October and it has given punters yet another reason to go along, after confirming that the son of Aussie rock royalty Jimmy Barnes will perform on the day.
Jackie James Barnes will present an intro session on drum tuning before taking to the stage to perform with The Lachy Doley Group.
Barnes first discovered his talent for drumming at just five years old and went on to perform around the world with The Ten Tenors, while also performing alongside his father and other huge artists such as Keith Urban, Journey and Joe Bonamassa.
"I remember watching dad singing from side of stage when I was a little boy and wanting to imitate everything he did, but then I saw the guy up the back with stuff everywhere swinging his arms all over the place and bangin’ on things and I thought to myself, ‘That’s what I want to do,'" Barnes said.
Proudly presented by The Music, the Vintage & Custom Drum Expo will be held at the Factory Theatre on Sunday 8 October. Tickets are available now via the venue's box office.
