Two of Australia's best heavy music outfits are on track to beat Ozzy Osbourne on this week's ARIA Albums chart.

According to midweek figures, The Amity Affliction's Everyone Loves You... Once You Leave Them and Polaris' The Death Of Me (our pick for Album Of The Week!) are predicted to debut in the top five of the list ahead of the metal icon's 12th LP, Ordinary Man, which is still expected to debut in the top ten.

While Polaris are set for the highest debut to date (2017's The Mortal Coil peaked at #6), The Amity Affliction will be looking to chart their fifth-straight #1 record which would see them join an exclusive club that only features Silverchair, Powderfinger and Hilltop Hoods.

The Queensland group will likely duke it out with South Korean boy band BTS who are also expected to debut in the top five with their latest album, Map Of The Soul: 7.

The only other debut on the Albums chart this week comes from Canadian songwriter Grimes with her fifth record, Miss Anthropocene, which is predicted to land in the top 20.

Over on the Singles chart, The Weeknd will look to make it six straight weeks atop the list with Blinding Lights and you should also expect to see the Toronto-born artist's new track, After Hours, debut in the top ten.

New songs expected to hit the chart this week include BTS' On (top 20) and Endor's Pump It Up (top 50).
