With a new album slated for release later this year, Australian icon Kylie Minogue will make an exclusive appearance on ABC’s The Sound this weekend.

The fourth episode of the series, airing this Sunday at 5:30pm, will feature an exclusive interview with Minogue in the lead up to DISCO’s release on November 6 alongside performances from Illy, G Flip, Washington, Hockey Dad, Kian, D’Arcy Spiller and more.

Also confirmed for the episode is a tribute to The Easybeats, lead by John Paul Young, following on from the release of a new biography about founding member George Young, Friday On My Mind, penned by author Jeff Apter.

“Back on an ABC pop show! It’s been 37 years since my last appearance on Countdown, it’s an absolute joy to be a part of the ABC’s ongoing commitment to Australian music,” John Paul Young said.
